Pastor Freddy Lopez is a living testimony of God’s amazing grace and transforming power. Raised in the small town of George West, Texas, Freddy gave his heart to the Lord as a child. However, as a teenager, he drifted away from God and became involved with the wrong crowd, leading to years of addiction to cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine, and other drugs.
Through the faithful prayers of his mother and the mercy of God, Freddy recommitted his life to Jesus Christ at the age of 25. From that moment on, God began restoring his life and calling him into ministry.
To prepare for that calling, Pastor Freddy attended Dr. Jerry Savelle’s School of World Evangelism in Crowley, Texas, and later completed two years of leadership training under Dr. Myles Munroe. From 2004 to 2008, he traveled as an evangelist, preaching the Gospel and encouraging people to discover the hope found in Christ.
In 2019, God called Pastor Freddy to plant Heritage of Faith Christian Church in Sweetwater, Texas. Today, he serves as the church’s founding pastor with a passion to preach the uncompromised Word of God, build strong disciples, and share the love of Jesus with the community.
Pastor Freddy believes that no life is too broken for God to restore. His own journey from addiction to redemption is a powerful reminder that Jesus still saves, heals, delivers, and gives people a new purpose. His mission is simple: to reach hearts, build faith, and see lives changed through the power of Jesus Christ.
